SCOTTISH JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS - Ayrshire well represented in boys and girls national title bids.

Ayrshire are well represented in both the Scottish Boys' and Scottish Girls' Championship, which take place during the week beginning Monday the 12th of July.

The SCOTTISH BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP takes place from the 14th to the 18th over the Bruntsfield Links in Edinburgh, with strokeplay qualifying rounds scheduled for Tuesday the 13th and Wednesday the 14th and 64 qualifiers progressing to the matchplay stages from Thursday the 15th until Sunday the 18th.

The 9 strong Ayrshire challenge is led by title holder and Scottish internationalist Ruben Lindsay of Ayr Belleisle and includes his clubmate Max Barclay, the Royal Troon trio of Dylan Cairns, Connor Wills and Scott Newman, the Kilmarnock Barassie duo of Cameron Johnstone and John McCracken, along with Harvey Broadfoot from Troon Welbeck and Turnberry's Ryan Stribling.

The SCOTTISH GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP takes place at Strathaven Golf Club from Friday the 16th until Sunday the 18th, with two qualifying rounds of strokeplay on the first day and the top 16 players progressing to the matchplay rounds over the weekend.

The six strong Ayrshire contingent is led by Scottish girls internationalist Rachel Foster of Prestwick St Nicholas, a semi finalist the last time the championship was played, and also includes Caitlyn Bilham and Louise Milligan from Irvine, Katie Ronnie and Freya Russell from Royal Troon and Emerald Rose Bowyer from Troon Welbeck.
