The chase for the 2021 Ayrshire Junior Order of Merit is well under way, with a number of qualifying events having been played recently.
Following his good showing in the West of Scotland Boys Championship, where he finished 3rd in the strokeplay qualifying and reached the final of the matchplay event, Max Barclay (Ayr Belleisle) leads the way at present, just ahead of Connor Wills (Royal Troon), who finished in joint first place at the Largs and Loudoun Junior Opens, as well as a forth place finish at Troon Welbeck, and Harvey Broadfoot (Troon Welbeck), who took top spot at Troon Welbeck's Junior Open and joint first place at Loudoun to move into the top three.
The next counting events are The Scottish Boys & Girls Championship, the Harris Junior Open at West Kilbride and the Tom Lehman trophy competition at the Troon municipial .
