AYRSHIRE GOLF ASSOCIATION EXTENDED COMPETITIONS - entry update

With two weeks to go until entries close for most of the 2024 Ayrshire Golf Association extended competitions, entries are coming in steadily.



Entries for the Men's and Women's Champion of Champions, Men's and Women's Handicap Leagues, Scratch Leagues, Ayrshire Fourball Championship, Gary Bryden Memorial Salver and President's Putter competitions close on the 11th of February while entries for the Mixed greensomes competition for the Ayrshire Jug close on the 29th of february, or when the first 64 entries are received, whichever is earliest.

All club secretaries were circulated with the entry forms for these events recently. If any club secretary is not in receipt of the entry forms they should email the Area Secretary at ayrshire.golf@btinternet.com

Entry forms for the Mixed Greensomes competition should be available through club secretaries, or can be downloaded via the appropriate link on the left of the Ayrshire Golf Association web page. Copies are also available by email from the Area Secretary at ayrshire.golf@btinternet.com

The mixed greensomes event is open to pairings of one male and one female player who are both members of clubs affiliated to The Ayrshire Golf Association. The two players in the pairing do not need to be members of the same club.

AYRSHIRE GOLF ASSOCIATION ANNUAL DINNER & PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES - Tickets now available for 2024 event

The 2024 Ayrshire Golf Association Annual Dinner & Presentation of Trophies will be held on Friday the 23rd of February, and tickets for the event are now available to purchase.

Due to the numbers involved, this years event, the 41st annual dinner, will be held in the Carlton Hotel, 187 Ayr Road, Prestwick, at 6.30 for 7.00 p.m.

Guest speaker this year will be former FIFA football referee and well respected after dinner speaker, John Rowbotham.

The evening gives The Association and golfers in Ayrshire the opportunity to celebrate golfing success in the county in 2023 and honour the winners of the various chamnpionships in the last 12w months.

Tickets are priced at £30 each and are available, on a first come first served basis, from The Ayrshire Golf Association Secretary, Alasdair Malcolm, who can be contacted by email at ayrshire.golf@btinternet.com to secure places and arrange payment.

There is just a couple of weeks left for clubs and individuals to enter several of the Ayrshire Golf Association extended competitions for 2024.

Entries to the events listed below, with the exception of the Mixed greensomes competition for The Ayrshire Jug, close on the 11th of February.

If any clubs need additional copies of the entry forms they should contact the Area Secretary by email at ayrshire.golf@btinternet.com

The entry form for the mixed greensomes knockout is available to download from the Ayrshire Golf Association web page, and should be available through member clubs. This competition is open for partnerships of one male and one female member of member clubs of the Ayrshire Golf Association. Both players do not need to be members of the same club.
