AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Turnberry and Kilmarnock Barassie to meet in AJGL Championship final as other competitions reach the semi-final stages

The 2026 Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship final will be between turnberry and Kilmarnock Barassie after the two qualifying sections were completed recently.

In SECTION A of  THE AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, irvine had the chance to secure a final place with a win in their last fixture away to Prestwick St Nicholas, but a 4.5-1.5 defeat dashed their hopes and Turnberry took the place in the final from Section A.

With Kilmarnock Barassie already through to the final, the remaining fixtures in the section were played in recent weeks.

Kilmarnock Barassie finished their campaign with a 5-1 home win over Ballochmyle. East Ayrshire played their final two home matches, recording a 6-0 win over Ballochmyle and losing 4-2 to West Kilbride, while prestwick St Cuthbert concluded with a 4-2 away win at Ballochmyle and a 4.5-1.5 defeat at home to West Kilbride.

The other three Ayrshire Junior Golf league competitions have reached the semi final stages, with the draws being made at a recent meeting of the club representatives.

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT competition, Ayr Bellesile will host Irvine in the first semi final with Troion Welbeck at home to Turnberry in the other semi final tie.

In the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY competition semi-finals, Troon Welbeck host West Kilbride and Kilmarnock Barassie are at home to Turnberry.

The semi finals of the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR CHAPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY competition sees Euan Forrest (West Kilbride) at home to Gregor Hay (Turnberry) and Findlay Andrew (Ayrshire Boys Strokeplay Champion) host Harris Vennard (Ayr Belleisle) for a place in the competition final. 

All four AJGL finals are due to be played at Loudoun in August.
