DOC THOM AYRSHIRE ORDER OF MERIT - Harvey Broadfoot moves into top 10 with Hillhouse Cup win

Harvey Broadfoot (Royal Troon) moved into the top 10 in the Doc Thom Ayrshire Order of Merit  with victory in The Hillhouse Cup competition over his home course on Sunday the 28th of June.

A scratch score of 71 in very testing conditions gave harvey the trophy with a two stroke winning margin over Joe McSorley (Prestwick St Cuthbert) and Matty Allen (Western Gailes) who both covered the course in 73 shots.

Ayrshire Strokeplay champion Alan McLean (Largs) still leads the Doc Thom Ayrshire Order of Merit ahead of Blair Morton (Royal Troon) and Matty Allen, who moved into third spot with his joint runner up position in the Hillhouse Cup.

The next order of merit counting events are Troon Welbeck Open on the 13th of July, the Stevenson Trophy at Girvan on the 25th of July, and the Ian R. Lamb Trophy competition at irvine on the 26th of July, with the only other counting event beging in in July being the Scottish Amateur Championship which begins on the 28th of the month at Royal ABerdeen and Murcar Links.
