AYRSHIRE SENIOR MEN'S MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP - Draw for 2026 event

The draw hads been condfirmed for the 2026 Ayrshire Senior Men's Matchplay Championship, following the completion of the 2026 Senior men's Strokeplay Championship on Tuesday the 7th of July. 

The championship is contested by the available players returning the eight best scratch scores in the strokeplay event.

With just one potential qualifier unavailable for the matchplay, the cut for the 2026 championship saw two of four players on a score of 73 qualifying for the matchpklay event, by virtue of the better inward half.

Paul Moultrie (Royal Troon) led the qualifiers with a score of 67, with Craig Robertson (Turnberry) taking the second qualifying spot on 69.

Players will have two weeks to complete their first round ties, two weeks to complete their semi final ties, with the final scheduled to be played at Royal Troon GC on Friday the 14th of August.
