The Ayrshire mixed greensomes knockout competition for The Ayrshire Jug has reached the quarter final stage, with the remaining third round ties being completed recently.
In the outstanding third round ties, Sarah Harding & Brian McCrone (Rowallan Castle) progressed in their home tie againstWilliam Fleming & Joan McMurdo (Ballochmyle) while Alastair McKinnon & Carol Moffat (Caprington) won their home tie against Susan Smith & Roddie Middleton (Loudoun) by 3&1 to progress.
The remaining third round tie saw Catherine & Alasdair Malcolm (Ayr Belleisle Ladies/Golf South Ayrshire) win by 3&1 at Loudoun in their visit to play Scott Gilchrist & Shona Malcolm (Loudoun/Prestwick St Cuthbert)
