Euan Ferguson (Turnberry), Ewan Milligan (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Liam Kirkham (Troon Welbeck) got Ayrshire off to a great start with crushing wins in three of the opening four ties, and despite Sean Addie losing his tie on the seventeenth and Callum Irving losing by 4 & 3, Jordan Sweeney ensured at least a draw with another good victory for Ayrshire.
Unfortunately, despite Andrew Godon's tie going to the last and Robbie Muir taking his opponent to the seventeenth, the Ayrshire team were unable to manage to secure the half point required for a notable away win, and at the conclusion of the match honours were even.
