Three more players have booked their place in the last sixteen of the 2016 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy competition recently.Del Chamberlain (Troon Welbeck) beat Chris Stirrat (Ayr Seafield) by 5 & 4 at Troon to set up a local derby against Robbie Stewart (Troon Portland) in the third round.
Also through is Gordon Johnston (Kilbirnie Place) who was awarded a walkover by David Stark (Drongan) who withdrew through injury. Johnston now travels to play Iain Macdonald (Largs) in round three.
Gordon Boyle (Turnberry) is also through to the third round after a two hole victory at Turnberry in the second round against Jamie McPherson (Whiting Bay).
The remaining second round matches are due to be completed by 15th May.
