The Scottish Seniors Golfing Society North Of Scotland Open was played at Elgin on 12th and 13th May, with Paul Moultrie (Royal Troon) again finishing the best of the Ayrshire players who competed.

Hard , fast conditions with tricky crosswinds made scoring difficult at Elgin for the field of 96, with the CSS being 74 and 73 for the 2 days against a par of 69.
The winner, with rounds of 74 and 67 for 141, was English internationalist Andrew Stracey of Denholm G.C..
Nick Robson (Old Meldrum) the runner up on 144.
Only 3 Ayrshire players made the trip north, Paul Moultrie (Royal Troon) again leading the way with 151 from Ricky Gray (Rowallan Castle) on 162 and Keith Ross (Beith) with 168.
The next event is the East of Scotland seniors Open at Edzell G.C. on 2nd & 3rd June.
