CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY - latest second round results.

Four more players have booked their place in the last sixteen of the 2016 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy competition recently.

Gary Steele (Brunston Castle) edged out Kevin Fergusson (Prestwick St Cuthbert) by one hole in their tie at the Prestwick course, to ensure a home tie in the next round against either Gregor Mackintosh (Girvan) or Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle).

Former finalist Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle) kept his 2016 hopes on track with a 6 & 5 home win over Alistair Wright (Royal Troon), and will now be away from home in round three against either Derek Ballantyne (Ardeer) or Jack Purdie (Largs Routenburn)

Paul Denim (Loudoun) had an impressive 5 & 4 away win over Scott McCune (Moorpark) to secure a home tie in round three against Mark Gallagher (Rowallan Castle), whilst Sandy Riddell (Skelmorlie) had an equally impressive away win, by the same score, over Stuart Angus (Muirkirk) to set up a visit to play Ricky Tait (The Chase) in the last sixteen.

All remaining second round results were due for completion by 15th May, and should be reported to the Championship Administrator as soon as possible.
