AYRSHIRE FOURBALL CHAMPIONSHIP - Two more clubs into the last sixteen

Two more clubs have won their second round matches in the 2016 Ayrshire Fourball Championship, to book their places in the last sixteen of the competition.


Mike Hazlewood & Keith Mckenzie (Ayr Neptune) were home winners by 3 & 2 over Jim Lynch & Mick Atkins (Malletsheugh) and will be at home to either West Kilbride or Ayr Belleisle in round three.

Thomas Smith & Robert Thomas (Wallacetown) beat near neighbours William Thomson & Joseph Gillon (Tam O Shanter) by 2 & 1 in their second round clash, and will visit either New Cumnock or Caprington in round three.

All outstanding second round ties are due for completion by Sunday 29th May.

The outstanding ties are :-

Drongan Vs Loudoun

Ballochmyle Vs Irvine

Troon Merchants Vs Prestwick St Nicholas

Saxone Vs Crosshouse

West Kilbride Vs Ayr Belleisle

New Cumnock vs Caprington

Results of these outstanding ties should be notified to the championship administrator as soon as possible.
