SCOTTISH WOMAN'S CHAMPIONSHIP - Seven Ayrshire players bid for national title at Gullane

Seven Ayrshire players are in the field for the 2021 Scottish Woman's Championship which begins on Friday the 4th of June at Gullane.

Luisa Gibson and Caitlyn Bilham of Irvine Golf Club are joined by Louise Duncan of West Kilbride, Rachel Foster of Prestwick St Nicholas, Emma Ritchie of The Ladies Club, Troon and the Royal Troon duo of Hazel McGarvie and Freya Russell in the opening two qualifying rounds, in a bid to secure one of sixteen places in the matchplay rounds which will take place over the weekend of the 5th and 6th of June.

The last Ayrshire winner was Connie Jaffrey (Ladies Club, Troon) who won the title in 2017 at Royal Aberdeen.
