SCOTTISH BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP - Murray joins Sweeney in round three

Alyx Murray (Troon Welbeck) has joined Jordan Sweeney (Ayr Belleisle) in round three of the Scottish Boys Championship, being played at Murcar Links this week.

In his second round tie on Wednesday afternoon, Murray beat John Cowan (Pitlochry) by 2 & 1 to set up a match in the third round against Callan Harkness (Lochmaben)

The other Ayrshire player in round two action on Wednesday, Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle) was involved in a marathon tie before losing out to Christopher Finnie (Lockerbie) at the fourth extra hole.

Murray and Sweeney are both scheduled to complete their third round ties on Wednesday evening.
