Hazel McGarvie (Troon Ladies) leads the home challenge after the first round of the inaugural Scottish Girls Under 18 Open Strokeplay Championship, being played this week at Strathmore GC.McGarvie opened with a one under par round of 71 to lie in joint second place at close of play, one behind the pacesetter, Euphemie Rhodes (Burnham & Berrow)
Also in the field of 102 competitors is Louise Duncan (West Kilbride, who opened with afive over par score of 77.
