There are only a few fixtures remaining in the Ayrshire handicap League Championship qualifying sections, as teams close in on the four semi final places.
In SECTION A,
Moorpark and Braehead are fighiting it out for the semi final place.
Moorpark are
favourites to progress after recent wins by 4.5 – 1.5 at home to Ayr Dalmilling
and 4 – 2 away to Troon Merchants, but Braehead maintained their interest with a
4.5 – 1.5 win at Royal Troon.
The other
matches played recently saw Loudoun and Kilmarnock Barassie fight out a 3 – 3
draw and Troon Merchants have a 4 – 2 home win over Loudoun.

In SECTION B, 4 – 2 wins at Troon St Meddans and at home to
Troon Welbeck in their final two fixtures moved Auchenharvie 88 into pole
position.
Beithmaintained their challenge with a 4 – 2 win at Largs
Routenburn, and can still snatch the semi final place from Auchinharvie with a
win in their final match at home to Largs Routenburn.
The other match completed recently saw Troon Welbeck
narrowly beat their visitors from Prestwick St Cuthbert by 3.5 – 2.5.

C, Ballochmyle completed their matches with a 5 – 1 win away to Stewarton,
which took Ballochmyle to the top of the table ahead of Kilbirnie Place, who
will need at least a win and a draw in their final two matches to overtake
Ballochmyle in the chase for the semi final place.
In the other
match played recently, Troon Portland had a 4 – 2 win away to Drongan.
