The final of the 2018 Ayrshire Fourball Championship will be between George & David McCulloch (Brunston Castle) and Keith McKenzie & Colin Yair (Ayr Neptune) following completion of the two semi final matches.The McCulloch brothers, who have won the trophy on three previous occasions, were away to Adam Cambers & Tony McCurdie (Ayr Dalmilling) in the semi finals and won through with a 4 & 3 victory, whilst McKenzie and Yair had a single hole victory at home to Thomas Freer & Gerry Reid (Alton) in their semi final.
The final of the Fourball Championship is scheduled to take place on the Ayrshire Golf Association Finals day on Sunday 2nd September at Brunston Castle, but may be subject to change, depending on availability of players, as Brunston Castle and Ayr Neptune meet in the semi final of the President's Putter competition also.
Should there be player availability issues once the President's putter semi final is completed, then the Fourball Championship final will be rescheduled to a mutually agreeable date.
