WEST DISTRICT WOMANS INTER COUNTY MATCHES - Ayrshire make it two wins from two at Loudoun

Ayrshire recorded their second successive victory in the 2015 West District Inter County matches at Loudoun on Tuesday 16th June, beating Lanarkshire by 6 1/2 - 2 1/2.

The morning foursomes proved to be very tight with all three ties finishing on the final green, but it was Ayrshire who emerged from the tussle with a 3 - 0 lead to go into the afternoon singles.

In the singles, Connie Jaffrey lost in the top match to Rachael Taylor but three wins and a half match from the other team members out of the remaining four ties gave Ayrshire the singles by 3 1/2 - 2 1/2 and the match by 6 1/2 - 2 1/2.

Debbie Watt halved with Susan Wood

In the other match on Tuesday, Dumbarton & Argyll, who lost to Ayrshire on the opening day, bounced back to narrowly defeat Renfrewshire by 5 - 4
