BELLEISLE CUP - Hamilton edged out by one stroke

at Belleisle

Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle) was narrowly defeated, by a single shot, by Andrew Fairbairn of Cawder, for the Belleisle Cup last Sunday, 31st May.

The 36 hole scratch tournament, sponsored by Corum Estate Agents, tok place over the Ayr Belleisle course and with rounds of 69 & 73, for a total of  142, Hamilton fell just short of Fairbairn's 141 total, following rounds of 71 & 70.

Ayrshire Matchplay Champion Michael Smyth (Royal Troon) and Doc Thom Ayrshire Order Of Merit title holder John Shanks (Irvine) were a shot further back on 143.
