The Ayrshire team struggled at Tullialllan GC on Sunday 7th June in the Scottish Boys Area team Championship, finishing in fifteenth place behind winner Lothians.
Ayrshire title hopes were effectively ended in the morning foursomes when Jack Thomas (Irvine), & Jack Broun (Turnberry) carded a 90 and Murray McCrone (Troon Welbeck) & Luke Murdoch (Loudoun) returned an 84 for a total of 174, leaving them a full 26 shots adrift of the morning leaders and eventual winners from The Lothians.
Jack Thomas carded a 74 in the afternoon singles, with Jack Broun's 81 and Murray McCrone's 87 also counting, Luke Murdoch's 89 being discarded.
The final Ayrshire team total of 416 left them in fifteenth place, ahead of only Clackmannanshire of the sixteen areas taking part.
