Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) successfully negotiated the strokeplay qualifying rounds of the 2015 Amateur Championship on Tuesday, 16th June, one of eight scots who succesfully negotiated their way into the last 64.
McDonald followed his opening level par round of 72 over the Carnoustie Championship course with a level par 70 over the Panmure course for a total of 142 which saw him in joint 32nd place in the field.
The cut for the matchplay fell only one shot further back on 143.
Ayrshire's other player in the field, Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) had a better second round over the panmure course, carding a 75 for a total of 157.
The matchplay rounds begin on Wedneasday, 17th June, with jack McDonald facing a first round match against Frederick Wedel from the USA, which tees off at 11.20 am.
