Ayrshire suffered a second
successive defeat on day two of the West District Womans Inter County Matches
at Douglas Park on Tuesday, going down by 6.5 – 2.5 to Dumbarton & Argyll.
For the second day in a row the Ayrshire team were up against it in the singles after losing the
morning foursomes 3 – 0, and after Emma Hale conceded the lead singles tie at
the tenth, due to an injured wrist, Ayrshire’s task was much harder.
Defeat for Lorna Ronnie in
the second tie ensured a win for Dumbarton & Argyll.
