The quarter final line up for the 2016
Ayrshire Fourball Championship has been confirmed, following completion of the
remaining third round matches this weekend.
Gilbert & Paul Ferguson (Troon Welbeck)
beat Jordan Lennox & Mark McSevney (Ballochmyle) by 3 & 2 to set up an
away tie in the quarter finals against David & Iain Macdonald (Largs).
A 3 & 2 home win over Chris & Scott
Ireland (Prestwick St Nicholas) saw Greg Jarvie & David Parker (Crosshouse)
through to the quarter finals where they will be at home to Robert McClure
& Scott brown (Kilbirnie Place).
The third quarter final features Mike Hazlewood
& Keith McKenzie (Ayr Neptune), who will entertain David Sloan & John
Barr (Doon Valley) over the Ayr Dalmilling course.
The final quarter final will see David Bain
& Billy Scott (New Cumnock) at home to Joe Thomson & Darren Brown
(Skelmorlie). The new Cumnock pair won through to the last eight with a 2 hole
home win over Thomas Smith & Robert Thomas (Wallacetown) whilst the Skelmorlie
team had a 4 & 2 home win over Douglas McCormick & Jamie McCrindle
(Brunston Castle) to progress from round three.
