AYRSHIRE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - Steele & Sloan through to quarter finals

Gary Steele (Brunston Castle) and John Sloan (Doon Valley) are both through to the quarter finals of the 2016 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions competition.

In the third round, Gary Steele faced a home tie against up and coming Ayrshire youngster Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle). In a tight match, Steele eventually won through at the second extra hole to set up a home tie in the last eight against either Derek Ballantyne (Ardeer) or Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle).

John Sloan had an away match in the third round against Gordon Boyle (Turnberry) but edged through by a single hole on the final green.

In the quarter finals, Sloan will be away from home against either Martin Moore (Tam O Shanter) or Alan Oliver (Caprington)

All outstanding third round ties are due to be completed by Sunday 19th June.
