The West Kilbride duo of Louise Duncan and Claire McLaughlin continued their form in the Scottish Girls Championship at Scotscraig on Monday 3rd July, reaching the semi finals and final respectively of the championship and the handicap event.
In the championship, Duncan saw off the challenge of Cameron Neilson (Alvaneau Bad) with a 5 & 4 win in the quarter finals.
In Tuesdays semi final, Duncan playsHannah Darling (Broomieknowe).
In the handicap event, Claire McLaughlin beat Eilidh henderson (Loretto School) by 3 & 2 in the quarter finals and followed that with a semi final win on Monday afternoon over Ellen Caton (St Regulus) by 3 & 1
In the final on Tuesday, Mclaughlin plays Abby Hunter (USA).
In the boys event, Ayrshire's interest ended in a last 16 defeat for Alyx Murray (Troon Welbeck), who went down by 2 & 1 to Jamie Marchbanks (Dumfries & Galloway). Earlier on Monday, Murray beat Jack Williams (Sandyhillsd) in their last 32 clash by 1 hole.
