EUROPEAN WOMAN'S AND GIRL'S CHAMPIONSHIPS - Scotland lose out on top flight places.

Despite good showings from the Ayrshire players in the teams, both the Scotland Woman’s and Girl’s teams failed to secure a place in the top flight of their European Championships, each team finishing in twelfth place in the table.

The Womans team, playing at Oddur Golf, Club in Iceland had a team total of 761 for their twelfth place finish.

Connie Jaffrey (Troon Ladies) added a second round 75 to her opening day 73, to finish as the best individual scorer of the Scotland team.

In Norway, at Oslo Golf Club, the girl’s team had a team total of 773 for their twelfth place finish.

Louse Duncan (West Kilbride) was ten shots worse in her second round of 82, but still finished joint second best individual scorer for the Scots, behind fellow Ayrshire player Hazel McGarvie (Troon Ladies) who had a second successive 72 for a 144 individual total.
