AYRSHIRE WOMENS STROKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP - Debbie Watt and Lori Darroch win Ayrshire titles at Annanhill

The 2026 Ayrshire Women's Strokeplay Championships, sponsored by Lomond Property, took place at Annanhill golf course on Sunday the 7th of June, with Debbie Watt (Ayr Belleisle ladies) and Lori Darroch (Rowallan Castle) taking the Ayrshire Strokeplay  and Ayrshire handicap Strokeplay titles respectively.


Competitors were faced with testing conditions at annanhill during the event but there were still commendable scores returned.



Debbie Watt (Ayr Belleisle Ladies), the reigning Ayrshire Womens Matchplay Champion, secured the Championship trophy by two shots with a scratch score of 81, two shots ahead of the 2024 winner Audrey Thompson (Loudoun) with current Ayrshire Womens Champion of Champions Trophy winner Orla Moran (Irvine) in third place on 86.




Lori Darroch (Rowallan Castle) took the Handicap Strokeplay trophy with a nett score of 66 ahead of Sheila Kennedy (Loudoun), with a 72, in second place and Rona Mcinroy (Ayr Belleisle Ladies) in third on 77.





The winners of the nearest the pin prizes at the 4th and 17th, with distances of 16'8" and 14'6" respectively, were Kelly McNee (Loudoun) and Orla Moran (Irvine).

At the conclusion of the championships prize vouchers were presented to the succesful competitors and the trophies were handed over to the 2026 champions Debbie and Lori.
