In recent third round ties played, Ian Cameron & Gary Munro (Skelmorlie) had a 2&1 home win over Alan Muir & Gordon Christie (The Chase) and now travel to Kilbirnie Place in the quarter finals, while there were 3&2 away wins for Kenny Marshall & John Champion (West Kilbride) and John Tully & Colin Neil (Rowallan Castle) over Alex Shaw & Andy Millar (Prestwick St Nicholas) and Thomas Kelly & John McKenna (Beith) respectively, with the winning pairings facing each other in the quarter fibnals at West Kilbride.
Alan Parsons & Thomas Anderson (Glacier) received a walkover from Neil Slooves & Jim Logan (Prestwick St Cuthbert) due to an injury to one of the St Cuthbert pairing, and will now visit Malletsheugh in the quarter finals.
The remaining third round tie between Largs and Abbotsford is due to be completed by the 5th of July, to confirm the quarter final line up.
