AYRSHIRE MEN'S HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Matches continue in all eight qualifying sections

Matches continue in all eight qualifying sections in the 2026 Ayrshire Men's Handicap League Championship competition, as clubs bid for a place in the knockout stages.

in GROUP 1, a 4-2 win at Largs kept West Kilbride at the top of the table ahead of Ardeer who enjoyed home wins over Kilmarnock Barassie and Stewarton in their latest fixtures, by 4.5-1.5 and 5.1 respectively.

Largs completed their season's fixtures with a 5-1 home win over Kilmanrock Barassie and a 3.5-2.5 away win against Stewarton.

Present positions in Group 1 are:-


In GROUP 2, Moorpark lead after home wins by 5.5-0.5 and 6-0 over Loudoun and Prestwick st Cuthbert respectively, while beith maintained their hopes with a 4.5-1.5 home win over Irvine Ravenspark. Prestwick St Cuthbert boosted their own hopes with a 3.5-2.5 away win at irvine ravenspark while the other fixture played recently saw Loudoun record a 6-0 home win over Irvine Ravenspark.

Present positions in Group 2 are:-

Golf South Ayrshire lead GROUP 3, despite a narrow 3.5-2.5 away defeat to Ayr Seafield, after they bounced back with a 4-2 home win over irvine in their next fixture. 

Troon St meddans maintained thir own qualification hopes with a 3.5-2.5 away win against Wallacetown.

Presnt positions in Group 3 are:-

A 4-2 away win against Portmann moved Auchenharvie 88 clear at the top of GROUP 4, in the only fixture played recently.

Present positions in Group 4 are:-


Everything is close in GROUP 5 fololowing the latest fixture when Redburn had a 5-1 home win over Girvan.

Present postions in Group 5 are:-

In GROUP 6 Ayr Belleisle have secured their place in the knockout stages following a 4-2 away win over Prestwick St Nicholas in their penultimate fixture, which put the Belleisle club clear of all other teams, despite Royal Troon's 5-1 home win over Annanhill in the other fixture played recently.

With four fixtures to be completed, present positions in Group 6 are:-


In GROUP 7, Drongan lead following there recent 5-1 away win over Troon Welbeck, to avenge a 3.5-2.5 defeat in the reverse fixture, along with a 5.5-0.5 win away to Routenburn.

Troon Welbeck completed their fixtures with a 5-1 defeat at home to Rowallan Castle.

With just two fixxtures remaining, Rowallan castle hold the key to qualification as they host both Routenburn and drongan in their remaining home matches.

present positions in Group 7 are:- 

Alton lead the way in GROUP 8 following recent wins by 4-2 at home to North Beach and 5-1 away at Troon Portland, while Ballochmyle maintained their hopes with a 3.5-2.5 home win over North beach in their latest fixture.
