Scotland Boys Internationalist Ruben Lindsay (Ayr Belleisle) won the Stephen Gallacher Foundation Trophy at Cardrona Golf & Country Club near Peebles on Sunday 16th June, with a three shot wining margin over his closest challenger.
The event was staged over two days, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June, and with rounds of 70, 72 and 73, Lindsay posted a final total of 215, ahead of gregor Graham (Blairgowrie) in second place on 218.
The only other Ayrshire player in the boys competition was Sean Addie (Ayr Belleisle) who missed the 36 hole cut after rounds of 86 & 78.
In the girls event, Luisa Gibson (Irvine) finished in third place on 239, after rounds of 79, 82 and 78, which left her six shots adrift of the winner Katie Graham (Hamilton).
Freya Russell (Royal Troon) finished eighth on 261 with rounds of 92, 86 and 83 whilst Rachel Foster (Prestwick St Nicholas) retired after an opening round of 81.
