Further matches have been completed in all four qualifying sections in the 2019 Ayrshire handicap league Championship recently, as clubs battle for one of the eight quarter final places in the competition.
In SECTION A, Ballochmyle remain at the top of the section
despite having no recent fixtures.
Auchenharvie maintained their second spot with a 4 – 2 home
win over Ayr Dalmilling whilst Rowallan Castle maintained hopes of
qualification with a 4.5 – 1.5 home win over Prestwick St Cuthbert, who
themselves secured their first win of the campaign recently with a 5.5 – 0.5
result at home to Alton.
In the other match played recently, Ayr Bellesile fought out
a 3 – 3 draw with their visitors from Alton.

In SECTION C, the league table remains very tight following
four recent fixtures.
Annanhill moved to joint top of the table with a 4.5 – 1.5
win at Irvine Ravenspark, whilst Troon St Meddans bounced back from the
disappointment of a 5 – 1 defeat to their local rivals Troon Welbeck with a 5 –
1 win against their other near neighbours Troon Merchants.
A 4 – 2 home win over Kilmarnock Barassie bt Troon Welbeck
in their latest fixture maintains their challenge for one of the two qualifying
spots in the section.

4 – 2 home win over Moorpark being tempered by a 4 – 2 defeat at Beith in their
latest two fixtures. Braehead remain in joint second spot with Beith following
a recent 3.5 – 2.5 home win against Troon Portland, whilst Moorpark maintained
their hopes with a good win away to West Kilbride by 4 – 2.
