AYRSHIRE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - Three more through to quarter finals

Three more players have booked their place in the quarter finals of the Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy competition this week.

Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle) had a crushing 8&7 win over Robbie McInnes (Rowallan Castle) at Ballochmyle, and will now travel to play either Gordon Johnston (Kilbirnie Place) or Craig Menzies (Muirkirk) in the last eight.

Also through to the last eight is Gordon Munro (Caprington) who beat his visitor Ian Morrison (Prestwick St Cuthbert) by a single hole to progress. Munro now plays host to either Andrew Lindsay (Ayr Dalmilling) or Gordon Boyle (Turnberry) in the quarter finals.

Nicholas Tindall (Tam O Shanter) is the other player through to the last eight, following a single hole victory over his visitor Jason Butler (Irvine Ravenspark). Tindall will travel to play Sandy Buchanan (Prestwick St Nicholas) in the last eight.

The remaining three quarter final matches are due to be completed by Sunday 16th June.
