Ayrshire Boy matchplay title holder Callum Beveridge (Troon Welbeck) negotiated the first hurdle en route to his title defence when he comfortably secured one of the eight qualifying places up for grabs during the Ayrshire Boys Championship at Largs on Thursday 2nd August.
Beveridge qualified in second place and will defend his crown at Prestwick Golf Club next week.
The qualifying cut fell at 160.
The draw for the first round of the matchplay, scheduled to be played on Tuesday 7th August, is :-

JACK THOMAS (Irvine) Vs GREG TELFER (Prestwick St Cuthbert)
MARC REID (Prestwick St Cuthbert) Vs STUART EASTON (Irivne)
DARRYL LYNCH (Ayr Belleisle) Vs CALLUM BEVERIDGE (Troon Welbeck)
Play starts from 4.15 p.m. on Tuesday.
The semi finals are scheduled to be played on Wednesday 8th August with the final the following evening, Thursday 9th August.
