AYRSHIRE FOURBALL CHAMPIONSHIP - Round 1 completed and three more through to round 3

Three more pairings are through to round three of the 2022 Ayrshire Fourball Championship, with the remaining second round ties due to be completed by the 15th of May. 

The one outstanding first round result saw Lee Paton & John Houston (Abbotsford) secure victory at the 19th hole on their visit to play Paul Roberts & Ian Kemp (Prestwick Centre).

The Abbotsford pair now host Jeff Reid & Gerry Bole (Caprington) in round 2.

Greg Niven & Andrew Morton (Kilmarnock Barassie) had a single hole away win over John Cavens & Iain Thomson (Tam O Shanter) in their second round clash and will now be away to either New Cumnock or North Beach in the last sixteen.

Also through by courtesy of a single hole victory away from home are John Gilmour & Paul Fairnie (Kilbirnie Place) who beat David Low & Des Brown (Ayr Belleisle) in their second round tie.

In the third round the Kilbirnie Place due will be away from home against Andrew & Reid Brown (Annanhill)

The other pairing through to the last sixteen are Shaun Cumming & Alistair Tweedie (Troon St Meddans) who beat their visitors Drew Boyd & Kenneth Kelly (Prestwick St Nicholas) to progress to the third round, where they will be away to the Troon Welbeck or Ayr Seafield representatives.

There are still ten second round matches to be completed before the 15th of May.
