The recent fixtures in Divisions 2 and 4 of the Ayrshire Scratch leagues may have a significant outcome on the destination of the championship trophies in each division.
In DIVISION
2, Irvine Ravenspark dented Ballochmyle’s title hopes with a 4-2win over the
league leaders at Irvine at the weekend. With Ballochmyle having now completed all
their fixtures, the result allows Largs or Caprington to overtake Ballochmyle
for the league title, depending on the results of the remaining fixtures.

In DIVISION
4, Prestwick St Nicholas maintained their hopes of overtaking Kilbirnie Place
for the league title with a 3.5 – 2.5 win over the league leaders at St
Nicholas in their latest fixture.
With just
one match remaining to be played in the league, a win by Prestwick St Nicholas
over Moorpark would give them the league title and Kilbirnie would slip into
the play off spot, whereas any other result in St Nicholas’ final match would
reverse these positions.
