AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Section A and Champion of Champions updates

With results awaited in a number of competitions, as the Ayrshire Junior Golf league events progress towards the semi final stages, some results in the league Championship and Champion of Champions competitions have been posted this week.

In Section A of the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, Kilmarnock Barassie had a crucial 3.5 – 2.5 win over league leaders Irvine in their recent encounter, to move joint top of the table with a game in hand.

In the JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY competition the one outstanding first round tie saw Ross McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) beat Patrick Smillie (Prestwick St Nicholas) by 3 & 2 over the Barassie links, to go through the quarter finals where he will be at home to Rob Yorston (Loudoun)

Jordan Orr (Ballochmyle) has been withdrawn from the competition, which results in Ruben Lindsay (Ayr Belleisle) receiving a bye into the semi finals.
