Nine Ayrshire players competed at
Southerness in the South Of Scotland Seniors Open on Thursday 28th and Friday
29th July 2016, with weather from all 4
seasons being experienced.

CSS for the 2 days were 74 and 73 and the
winner, with a superb aggregate of 137, was new Scottish Seniors Golfing
Society member Stewart Henderson of Hamilton G.C. who was playing in his first
SSGS event .

The leading Ayrshire player, tying for 19th
place, was David Miller of Kilmarnock Barassie with a score of 152.

The next Scottish Seniors Golfing Society
event is the Super Seniors Championship at Strathmore G.C. on 4th & 5th
August, with the Autumn Meeting at Nairn Dunbar at the end of August being the
final event of the season prior to the Spanish Festival in October.
