The Scotland boys team fell at the final
hurdle at Ballyliffen on Thursday 4th August, in their bid to retain
the Home Internationals title, losing out to England in the championship
decider by 9 – 6.
A 4 – 1 lead by England after the morning
foursomes proved decisive, with the singles matches being shared 5 – 5.
Ben Ferguson (The Vines / Turnberry) again
paired up with Rory Franssen to win their foursomes tie by 3 & 2 whilst
Graeme Greer (Carluke / Prestwick St Nicholas), lost his foursomes tie by 2
holes.
Both Greer and Ferguson halved their afternoon
singles, with Ferguson completing the series of matches undefeated, collecting five
points from a possible six overall.
