With all second round ties due to be completed by Sunday 17th May, there have been a number of results posted recently.Hugh Connor & Steven Capaldi (Malletsheugh) were awarded a walkover by their opponents Robert Adams & Iain Pirrie (Abbotsford) and will now play Derek & Robert Bryson (New Cumnock, at New Cumnock, in round three.
John Sloan & Robert Long (Tam O Shanter) beat near neighbours Gary Boyle & George Campbell (Braehead) by 3 & 2 and will be away from home in round three against either Turnberry Staff or Saxone.
John Paul Flannigan & Eddie Saunders (Troon St Meddans) will be at home to Andrew Macleaod & John Cook (Rowallan Castle) in round three. the Troon St Meddans duo had a one hole win away from home against David McAlpine & Scott Wilson (Drongan) in round two whilst the Rowallan Castle pair won at the nineteenth at home to John Wylie & John Wylie (Glacier).
Richard Stevenson & Colin McIlwraith (Pontoon) booked their place in the last sixteen with a 5 & 4 away win over Allan Kidd & Richard Hope (Annanhill), and now face an away tie against Crosshouse or Loudoun in round three.
Also through are Jim Shankley & Hugh Letford (Ayr Seafield) who had a home win over Robert Adam & Mark Skilling (Troon Welbeck) in round two, and now have a home tie against James Anderson & Paul Church (Skelmorlie) in the last sixteen.
