Scotland got off to a winning start on Wednesday 14 August in their defence of the Raymond Trophy at Ganton in the Home Internationals, beating Wales by 9.5 - 5.5.
Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) contributed two pints, teaming up with Graeme Robertson in the morning foursomes for a 3 & 2 win and following that with a 6 & 4 win in his afternoon singles.
In the other opening match, England had a narrow win over Ireland by 8 - 7.
