The final of the 2013 Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship will be beween Troon Welbeck and West Kilbride, whilst the other AJGL competitions are at the semi final stage.
In the LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, Troon Welbeck have an unassailable lead in Section A, with one match remaining to play, following recent 6 - 0 results at home to Kilmarnock Barassie and away to Caprington.
In Section B only the match between bottom clubs largs and Prestwick St Nicholas remain to be completed, with West Kilbride clear winners of the section.
The final is scheduled to be held on Sunday 15th September at Ayr Belleisle.
In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT competition, Loudoun will play Largs and Ayr Belleisle take on Prestwick St Nicholas in the semi finals.
In the quarter finals, home advantage saw Ayr Belleisle beat West Kilbride 4 - 0, Loudoun beat Kilmarnock Barassie 3.5 - 0.5 and largs beat Troon Welbeck by the same margin, whilst Prestwick St Nicholas had the only away win, by 3.5 - 0.3, against local rivals Prestwick St Cuthbert.
The semi finals are due to be completed by 1st September with the final scheduled for Ayr Belleisle on Sunday 8th September.
The final of the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY competition is also scheduled to take place at Ayr Belleisle on Sunday 8th September, with qualifying section matches still ongoing at present.
IN the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY competition, Ayrshire BOys Matchplay Champion Greg Telfer had an 8 & 6 home win over Jamie McNair (Caprington) to book a semi final place, where he will be away to Murray McCrone (Troon Welbeck) who won 7 & 5 against Jordan Sweeney (Ayr Belleisle) in the quarter finals at Troon.
Aidan Dore (Loudoun) will be at home in the semi finals, following a walkover against Darren Nimmmo (Prestwick St Cuthbert) in the quarter finals, and will play Sandy Walker (Ardeer) who booked his semi final place with a notable away win, by 7 & 5, against Euan Henderson (Kilmarnock Barassie).
The semi finals are due to be completed by 8th September with the final scheduled to take place at Ayr Belleisle on Sunday 15th September.
