On Thursday the 18th of August, Just 24 hours before they won the Scratch league Division 2 title, the Ballochmyle team entertained Kilmarnock Barassie in the team knockout semi final, which proved to be a very close match with the two singles matches being decided on the final green and the decisive foursomes tie being won by Ballochmyle at the first extra hole to give them a 2 - 1 semi final victory.
In the final, scheduled to take place during Finals day at Largs on Sunday the 4th of September, Ballochmyle will play either the defending champions Prestwick St Cuthbert or the host club Largs, who are due to complete their semi final tie by the 28th of August.
