AYRSHIRE HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Moorpark and Rowallan Castle in rerun of 2021 final this year

The 2022 final of the Ayrshire Handicap League Championship will be a rerun of the 2021 final, after holders Moorpark and last year's losing finalists, Rowallan Castle, won through their respective semi final clashes recently.

Moorpark took a 5 - 1 advantage, from the first leg against near neighbours Auchenharvie 88, into the second leg, but had some nervy moments in the second leg, which they eventually lost by 4 - 2, to go through to the final with a 7 - 5 aggregate win.

In the other semi final, Rowallan Castle lost their home leg by 4 - 2 against Irvine Ravenspark but in the return fixture away from home overturned the deficit, winning by 4.5 - 1.5 to edge through to the final with a 6.5 - 5.5 overall victory in the tie.

The final of the championship will take place during Finals Day, on Sunday the 4th of September, at largs Golf Club.
