In the counting events played recently, Sandy Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) had a notable win in the 36 hole Gowf Cup at Loudoun with a two shot win over Steven Stamper (Turnberry), whose second place finish firmly established him in third place in the table.
Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) moved into fifth place after his runner up spot in The Anmateur Championship, just behind Sandy Walker in fourth.
The maximum points in the latest event, the Rowallan Castle Open, were not allocated as the best scratch score of 74 was returned by a Dundonald Links member, Brian Gibson, but Steven Stamper further closed the gap on the leader as one of three players who tied on 76 and shared the points for 2nd to 4th place.
