The Ireland senior women's amateur golf team took a commanding 3.5 - 0.5 lead from the first day foursomes on Sunday 14th April, in the two day match against Scotland at West Kilbride, for the Mary McKenna Trophy.
Both of the Ayrshire players in the home side, Jane Finnie (Troon Ladies) & Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie) lost their foursomes matches.
The match concludes on Monday with singles matches.

Kathleen Sutherland (North) and Mary Smith (Highland) lost to Sheena McElroy (Grange) and Carol Wickham (Laytown and Bettystown) by 5 & 4
May Hughes (West) and Jane Finnie (West) lost to Helen Jones (Royal Portrush) and Pat Doran (Donabate) by 2 & 1
Alex Glennie (West) and Alison Bartlett (Highland) lost to Gertie McMullen (The Island) and Kate Evans (Frilford Heath) by 4 & 3
Lorna Bennett (Midlands) and Fiona De Vries (Midlands) halved with Suzanne Corcoran (Portumna) and Mary Dowling (Mallow)
