The Scottish Boys Championship got under way at Royal Aberdeen on Monday 6th April with Ayrshire only having two players starting their bid for the title on day 1.First of the Ayrshire challengers to tee off was Chris Butler (Irvine Ravenspark) who faced a tought test against Glenn Ramsay (Bathgate), eventually losing out by 6 & 5.
The only other Ayrshire player featuring on day 1 fared better though, David Wilson (Troon Welbeck) - pictured left - winning by 5 & 3 against Jamie Savage (Cawder).
Wilson now faces Fraser Grant (Ralston) in round 2 on Wednesday.
The remaining 9 Ayrshire players begin their bid for the title on Tuesday.
