AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Turnberry through to meet West Kilbride in league Championship final

Turnberry have booked their place in the 2024 Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship final against West Kilbride, following a 3.5-2.5 victory over East Ayrshire in their latest qualifying group tie at home.

With just three group matches to be completed, the result puts Turnberry in an unassailable position in Section A.

The remaining fixtures are Kilmarnock Barassie Vs East Ayrshire, East Ayrshire Vs Prestwick St Cuthbert and East Ayrshire Vs Turnberry.

The League Championship final is scheduled to take place at Prestwick St Nicholas GC on Sunday the 25th of August.

 

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY competition Troon Welbeck beat Irvine in their second round match and now face a home tie in the semi-final against East Ayrshire.

The other semi-final features Prestwick St Nicholas or Turnberry against Prestwick St Cuthbert

Both semi final matches are due to be completed by the 31st of July with the final scheduled to take place at Prestwick St Nicholas GC on Sunday the 4th of August.

 

In the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY competition Kilmarnock Barassie are already through to the final and await the winners of the semi-final between Irvine of Turnberry and Troon Welbeck. 

The outstanding semi-final is due to be completed by the 31st of July with the final scheduled to take place at Prestwick St Nicholas GC on Sunday the 4th of August.
