Troon St Meddans have taken a step towards promotion to Division 2 following completion of the first of the Ayrshire Scratch Leagues play off matches recently.In the division 2 - 3 play off, the St Meddans team travelled to Ayr Belleisle in the first leg of their showdown and it was the visitors, runners up in Division 3 this year, who took the plaudits with a 5.5 - 0.5 victory over their league 2 opponents. St meddans only require a single point from the return leg at home to take Ayr Belleisle' place in Division 2 next season.
