AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT - Ross McDonald secures title with one event remaining.

Ross McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) has secured the 2019 Ayrshire Junior Order of Merit title, with just one counting event remaining to be played this season.

At the penultimate counting event, The Prestwick St Nicholas Junior Open, which was won by Dylan Cairns (Prestwick St Nicholas) ahead of clubmate Cameron McGarvie, Ross McDonald shared third place with two other players which gave him enough points to ensure him an unassailable lead going into the final counting event, the Irvine GC Junior Open, which takes place on Monday 23rd September.

With prizes presented to the first three places in the Junior Order of merit each year, there is still plenty to play for in the final event with any one of seven players still in a position to secure second or third place in the table.
