James Chalmers and James Walkinshaw (Glacier) had a home win over
Shaun Mullen & Iain Green (Muirkirk), whilst
William Jackson & William McCafferty (Largs Routenburn) went through with a 2 & 1 win away from home against
Ian McKay & Andrew Thomson (Alton)
Frank Grant & Hugh Wales (Ardeer) went to the 20th hole on their visit to play
Alan Gafney & James McIntyre (Moorpark) before booking a home tie in round two against
John McKay & Robin Turner (Troon St Meddans), who booked their own place in round two with a comfortable 5 & 4 win over
Stephen Brown & Malcolm McAlpine (Drongan).
David Orchison & Alan Hoyes (Troon Welbeck) won by 4 & 3 away to
Greg Jarvie & Campbell Parker (Crosshouse) and will be at home in round two to
Scott Cairns & Martyn Cairns (Kilbirnie Place) who overcame
Ian Thorburn & Denis Rooney (Ayr Carrick) by 2 holes in the opening round.
